Hope In Motion 5K: Join The Fight Against Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is a devastating and growing crisis that affects millions of people worldwide, including right here in Tennessee. Every day, countless individuals—many of them children—are exploited for labor or forced into sex trafficking. The statistics are staggering, and the impact is heartbreaking. According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, there were 11,500 cases of human trafficking reported in the U.S. in 2019 alone, with thousands more going undetected.

In Tennessee, human trafficking remains a significant issue. Studies show that there are human trafficking cases in every county, affecting women, men, and children. Middle Tennessee is not immune, which is why the fight against trafficking is more urgent than ever.

To combat this horrific crime, Operation Rose and the Sexual Assault Center of Middle Tennessee have joined forces to host the Hope in Motion 5K, an event dedicated to raising awareness and supporting the fight against human trafficking. Together, we are committed to helping survivors and stopping trafficking at its roots.

The Hope in Motion 5K is not just a race—it’s a movement. By participating, you are helping us fund critical services for survivors, raise awareness in our communities, and bring hope to those affected by human trafficking.

Why This Matters

Human trafficking is a crime that thrives in secrecy and preys on society’s most vulnerable. Many victims are too afraid or ashamed to come forward, while traffickers work hard to stay hidden. By raising awareness and funds through the Hope in Motion 5K, we can shine a light on this dark issue and help support survivors as they begin their journey to recovery.

Funds raised from this event will directly benefit Operation Rose and the Sexual Assault Center of Middle Tennessee, two organizations that work tirelessly to support survivors of trafficking and sexual assault. Their programs provide safe spaces, counseling, medical assistance, and legal advocacy for survivors who are trying to rebuild their lives after unimaginable trauma.
